A lot has happened lately, but it's been slow going.
Nothing ever seemed to stand out, until I looked at all of the pictures on my phone.
Mika and I have spent a lot of time together lately.
As I've been waiting for a job offer, Travis has been really REALLY busy with work and school.
We don't see him much, so it's just me and my puppy.
She's such a fun companion.
We laugh, and dance, and bake, and talk, and go get drinks, learn new tricks, and take selfies.
I love her.
She loves me.
This picture is after she got a haircut. I hate it.
I miss her mohawk so much.
It's almost like when your baby has his first haircut, he no longer looks like a baby.
My puppy doesn't look like a baby to me anymore.
I can't wait for it to grow back.
This is when no one wanted to go get a drink with me on a hot day.
So Mika gladly accpeted the offer.
We went to McDonald's because they have the best Diet Dr. Pepper around.
She's so pretty.
Braden had homecoming, so I helped my mom blow up so many balloons.
I also watched H and J on a beautiful and sunny Friday when C helped move the office around.
We had fun, but didn't take pictures. :(
We played bocce, and Mika.
We went to lunch with Trav and K at Red Robin.
Jack ordered chicken strips, I think.
H ordered a grilled cheese, french fries, carrots and a salad.
They made sure to take home their left overs.
After lunch, we went to the park with Mika and played on the playground.
Then we went back to the office to check on things, and went to Shan's to help blow up balloons and get frozen yogurt.
We played and played and played, until C and B were done moving.
After we all went to dinner at Brick Oven.
What a fun day.
Mika is starting to understand "selfies."
She comes to lay by me and looks at the phone.
She also lays by me to watch TV. Especially Breaking Bad at night time.
Trav and I have been into that show lately and are watching the series on nights when we're not too tired.
It's something to look forward to, and so much fun.
My phone is flooded with pictures of Mika, literally.
We've been baking lately.
She sits and stares while I bake the batter, and then licks the bowl.
I know, many of you will think it's gross.
I wash the bowls after, and she loves it.
Then she'll wait by the oven and sniff it periodically until it is ready.
For the last six weeks, Trav and mostly I have been taking Mika to classes at PetSmart.
It took her a while (until the last week or so) for it to really click, and a lot of working with her, but she's finally getting it.
These are pictures of her last class of the first session.
She hated her graduation hat and tried to shake it off while it was on, but we think it's hilarious.
(Thanks to the stranger who took this pic of us and her finger)
Trav's stepmom is so thoughtful.
Even when we live in different countries.
She saw that Body Worlds was traveling to Salt Lake and thought of me.
She knew I would love it and got us tickets.
I was in heaven the entire time, and we spent about two and a half hours in the museum.
Our bodies are so dang cool.
When Trav wasn't rushing ahead, I taught him a few things, and he thought it was cool.
I cannot wait to teach our children how amazing and special our bodies are.
Last, but not least, I finally read a book of my choice.
It took me a while to even want to read after nursing school.
Then I craved it, and read Elizabeth Smart's, "My Story."
It was so good and disturbing, and Mika thought it was too.
Also in September,
I turned in about 100 job applications,
I interviewed for five positions,
and I got glasses
(which I've been SO amazed how clear everything is).
Travis closed two loans,
worked on about 15 group projects,
and has done about 50 Excel assignments.
I'm so glad I didn't major in business.
