Laborless Labor Day...

For Labor Day this year, Trav and I went camping with my cousins and family.
We went up to "the property," up past Scofield reservoir.
"The Property" is in quotation marks, because that's the only thing we can call it.
My dad knows some people who have some private property, and goes hunting there.
It was so beautiful.
I took two pictures.
Mika was in heaven.
She loves hiking and camping and all that goes with it.

Within the first five minutes of getting to the camp, Mika was up and exploring the mountains.
She came running to me so proud of her stick she had found.
She pranced up to me, and I grabbed her stick, only to find out it was a deer hoof.
Yes, a deer hoof.
I was so disgusted.
Later she found the colon and the stomach.
Yuck.

Travis and I were to lazy to set up our tent, and the weather didn't seem too bad.
Until it got dark.
Then we were even more lazy to set up a tent.
So we slept on a flat bed trailer.
In the morning there was frost on our sleeping bags, and we couldn't move our head on our pillows because there was frost everywhere except for our heads.
We weren't cold, unless the sleeping bags weren't covering our heads at all times.
Mika struggled through the night, I don't think she slept for more than two hours.
Lesson learned; set up a tent.

We got to ride around on the Arctic Cat.
It was so beautiful, and the wild life was everywhere.
We found an owl, a porcupine, elk, cows, falcons, and blue birds.
We found a bear's den.
It was such a happy time to relax and not think about anything.
I even read a book that I wanted.

I'm so grateful to live in such a beautiful place.
Utah, you have my heart.
