Good news!
I got hired.
Utah Valley Regional Medical Center
Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, 5th floor
Full time night shift
I applied for many jobs, and interviewed here, IMC, Primary Children's and Payson Hospital Labor.
Even though many of the other jobs seemed more exciting (like Primary's or Labor),
this one felt right.
It's close, and it will be such a blessing.
I'll learn so much.
I'm so excited!
Today was my first day as a nurse.
I had to go to an orientation.
There are two days of orientation, so I'll be back tomorrow.
Then I'll start working two shifts a week, and be in a class for four hours each week, then finish up my 36 hours with computer training modules, for ten weeks.
It was hard to sit all day long and stay focused.
And I missed my puppy.
I wasn't even mad when she chewed up my Halloween pillow.
She was so proud and so happy to see me come home.
love.
I still can't believe I'm a nurse.
It will be a tough and FUN year of learning and getting used to things.
I'll work with people who have heart problems, like heart attacks, or open heart surgery.
I'll also work with people who have vascular or circulatory issues.
Lastly, my floor is an overflow for the med surg floors, so I'll be doing all of that too.
I'm so happy and so grateful to work for such an amazing company, Intermountain Health Care.
