Can't Spring Break just be year round?
We were so lucky to go visit Trav's family in Cozumel.
It was warm, and beautiful, relaxing and fun.
I really don't remember what happened on each day, but we do have documentation of some of the activities.
We spent an entire day on the other side of the island.
It was just the four of us; grandma Pickett, Trent, Trav and me.
I started to get sunburned, so I dug a hole in the sand and the shade, and Trav buried me in it.
One night, the entire family got to go watch the sunset.
It was so beautiful.
And Desire wanted to take some pictures.
Cheeeesse!
Everyone was really happy, promise.
One day we took the fairy to Playa, rented a car and visited Tulum.
It was so. dang. hot.
So Trav went swimming.
After, we drove down the road a little bit and found some little bungalow hotels.
We found this italian sea food restaurant and ate there.
They brought out massive plates of very impressive food.
While I'm not the biggest fan of sea food, everyone else said it was the best lunch they have ever had.
After, we sat on their beach, on these lovely lounges and took a nap or read a book.
After this day, my camera battery died, so I missed an entire day of activities.
We took Miguel's bike ride tour to Passion Island.
We first stopped in the jungle and fed some crocodiles.
It was actually really cool.
Then we road our bikes down the dirt road and avoided the big pot holes full of water.
We all took little races, and sang and had a blast riding the bikes.
At the end of the dirt road, we met a boat which took us to the island.
Many cruises advertise this place as their personal island,
so it was full of food and games and fun.
We ate so much chips and guacamole and lemonade that day!
We took kayaks out to the shallow waters.
We saw lots of birds and flamingos,
lots of jelly fish,
and what they call "medusas."
One day we got to go swim with the dolphins.
The pictures were too expensive to buy, and they wouldn't allow cameras.
Dolphins are so beautiful.
We hung out at the dolphin park the rest of the day.
We watched a sea lion show.
And the dolphins swimming.
We played at their beach, their pool and went snorkeling.
I had a panic attack when we snorkeled.
I don't know why those little fish scare me to death while I'm in the water with them.
Fish can stay in the water, I will stay on the land.
This is Trent on his bike that he rides around Cozumel.
He's been living there since Christmas, and will head back to Dallas next week.
Other activities that are not documented include:
Dinner at a really yummy place with the family (I can't remember the name).
Lots of sunsets.
Scooter rides all over. They call scooters "motos."
Dinner with just Trav and I at a gross brazillian restaurant.
Lots of food and lemonades.
A night out at Desiresita's.
Playing with Trav's sweet nephews.
Reading books.
Nights at the Plaza.
Late night walks.
Caramel popcorn at the movie theaters.
The last day, we were all invited to go with Desire's friends on a yacht.
The boat was so beautiful and so fun.
Lana and Miguel
Trent
We both swam, but I don't have a waterproof case for my camera, yet.
Trav was so sad he couldn't swim with his burned finger.
Once it started to close up, I gave him the go-ahead.
It was really the best weekend and the perfect break, ever.
Now, getting back into reality is the hardest thing ever.
Dreaming of next time already.

(heavy sigh...) beautiful, so romantic.
