Trav was acting so suspicious that whole week.
He would lie to me when I asked him where he was.
We ended up fighting.
Friday, after my 12 hour shift at school, he wanted to go camping.
He came and picked me up an hour later than what he had planned on.
Then we had to run to the grocery store to get food for the foil dinners he planned on.
He kept trying to get me away at the grocery store.
He would say things like, "go get this, and I'll go get that, just so it's faster."
Then when we got to the check out, he said,
"Let me go get something, you stay in line."
He came back with nothing.
When we got to the mountains, all of his friends were already there.
All night long, he kept avoiding me.
We put our foil dinners on the fire, and set up our camp spot.
Our dinners took FOREVER to cook.
It got to be late, so I figured that he wasn't going to ask tonight.
Then he told me we needed to go look for firewood.
He told me I needed to take off my ugly hoodie.
I told him no, but he insisted.
hm...
We started off into the woods, and he stopped.
We looked at the stars and found the big dipper.
He was talking really loud, and pointing his flashlight the opposite way of the big dipper, but saying it was that way.
I told him he was dumb, and we continued to walk.
As we were walking, lights and music turned on ahead of us.
I stopped in my tracks, and Trav had to push me along.
I was nervous for some reason.
He knelt down.
He had a speech planned and skipped it all.
He had the ring in his back pocket, but it got stuck when he tried to pull it out.
Then he held up the ring, and asked me to marry him!
It was a done deal from there.
We tried to dance, but I just wanted to stare at the big rock on my finger.
I loved every bit of it.
I love that it was a big deal, but still private.
I love that we had fire dirt on our faces.
I love that he planned it all out.
I love this boy more and more every day.
