happy summer.

Remember when summer used to be all play?

Suntans and short shorts were all that mattered.

Unfortunately, that's not how it is anymore.

Instead of all things summer just coming to us, we have to make time for it.

I feel like writing a "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" Pickett style.

If you get stuck awake all night taking care of babies and mommies, like this...

And you're puppy eats your wedding bouquet like this...

Then you find a weekend to go to Lake Powell...

Then after you go to Lake Powell, you have to go to hike Angel's Landing in Zion National Park...

Did you know it's "Zion" not Zion's"?

If you hike Angel's Landing, you get hungry and eat dinner.

After you eat dinner, it's best to hike Grotto with the pup pups...

When you do all of that hiking, you feel tired and have to take a nap...

Then you find a warm day, like on Memorial Day, and visit your grandma's grave and listen to stories...

And get jealous she get's to rest in the most beautiful place ever...

After some stories, it's time to treat yourself to some shopping...

Find a cute dress and a watch, and stand by some sparkles at Swarovski and some cool haired mannequins at Nordstrom...

When you walk around all day shopping, and your husband leaves you for the night, you eat a cookie from Swig...

But then your mouth get's dry and you need some ice to finish it off...

When you are home alone with a puppy, you just want some people time.

So you find you're best friends and watch them get married...

Most gorgeous and fun wedding ever.

I cannot wait to play with these friends the rest of this summer all of the time!

After being outside on a hot day, you just need some rest before you go back to work,

So you find a nice evening to play with sticks, relax and fly a kite...

After having so much fun, you have to say goodbye to your very bestest friend and sister...

She's going to Africa.

Then you're sad, so you fail at taking kissing pictures on a ferris wheel

for being married for eight whole months...

Then when you're all grossed out, you go back to taking care of babies, and stacking files, and school, and closing loans...

And then you fall asleep.
