We had a rough time last night.
I didn't even hear Travis get up, but I laid in bed dreaming and wished the beeping would stop.
I woke up to Travis turning on the light in the other room and going through a bin.
Barely there, I didn't think anything of it, and laid in bed.
One of the beeps stopped, thank goodness.
Travis came up to me, touched my face and asked if I was feeling okay.
I was asleep, of course I was feeling okay.
He raced out to find the other beeping.
Once he got back, I had woken up enough to realize I had a headache and felt pretty dizzy.
Carbon monoxide had filled our home.
Trav said they had been going off for a while before he finally got out of bed, let alone woke me up and was surprised I never woke up.
We raced to my mom and dad's house about 2:30am.
We slept in my old, tiny bed.
It kind of sucked, but was also kind of nice to be that close to Travis after all of that as we slept.
We aired out our fireplace, and put new batteries in our detectors.
Everything seems to be okay now.
We are feeling a little bit of a headache, short of breath and a little dizzy, but all in all okay.
I'm so grateful my sweet husband took care of us last night.
So glad we said our prayers before we fell asleep.
I thought I was a light sleeper, but I was not waking up for the beeps.
So glad last night is over.
So glad we're safe and doing okay.
So glad we caught it in time before we were both goners.

I'm thankful you're ok. Gran'pa said have your furnace and water heater checked. Find out the source of the problem. We love you!!!
