Last night Trav and I went up with my family and met the Pender's at Temple Square.
Kait was supposed to come meet us, but with the snow she couldn't get down.
She was literally snowed in.
We missed her.
It was so cold and snowy.
We loved it anyhow.
I love seeing the place where I was married.
It fills me with the most grateful and happy and peaceful feeling.
I love that the temple draws people to it, both members of our church and non members.
I love that they decorate it with so many lights and beautiful-ness.
I love that so many people were there to see the beautiful lights.
I love that it is such a special place for Travis and I.
We both kept saying to each other, "We were married there!"
Don't judge my ugly shoes... but I was dry the entire snowy night.
We love these babies.
We played with them all night long and allowed for the adults to talk.
We walked on the slickery flower bed walls.
We had snowball fights.
We threw ice into the bubble pond.
We laughed with each other.
Sorry for the blurry.
This girl liked to carry the big ice chunks.
Here she is begging me to carry it because it was heavy.
I told her to throw it.
So she threw it.
And then jumped on it.
We watched the nativity scene for a little bit.
I was showing her the wise men and the camels.
Then I showed her the shepherds and then baby Jesus with Joseph and Mary.
She turned to me and said, "That Jesus, he's not a bad guy!"
No babe, no he's not.
I love this place.
Then we hurried to dinner before I got... too hangry.
After dinner, us and my family went to The Christmas Carol at the Hale Center Theatre.
It's tradition.
And this is the only picture I took.
We loved it.
I love how it just puts you into the Christmas Spirit.
Let Christmas begin!

So glad we could join you! What a fun night!
ReplyDeleteIt was a near perfect night. Only thing that would have made it better is if Kait could have made it down from Logan. Stupid snow.
