Hawaii.

This place... It has my heart.
I wish I could rewind time and go live it again.
I loved being in such a beautiful, warm, happy place with my family.
No distractions.
Just each other.

We packed each day with activities.
We were there for seven days.
Here's the rundown:

Day One
We headed to the beach; it was such a sunny warm day.
I liked that I could feel my toes again after being so cold at home.

Kait tried on my hat.

And I liked being with this handsome.

Then we headed to a luau to start off our vacation right.

This man surprised us as we were walking.
He came up and tied a grass skirt on Trav so fast.
He was officially volunteered to pull in the fake fish for the party.

He was still in shock at this point.

They had the group do a weird routine.
They made loud noises and shook their butts a lot.

Then they had each member take a picture showing off their muscles.

That bum. <3

Day Two

We started off early and headed to the harbor to swim with the sharks.

They put us into that cage with snorkel gear for about 15 minutes.
There were three sharks, and they were so pretty.
I was scared to death.
I'm obsessed with Shark Week in August and sharks have since become both an obsession and a serious fear.
Both Trav and I got stung by a jelly fish in that dumb cage.

After, we went paddle boarding.
It was so much fun.
We saw turtles and went up a Hawaiian river.
It was so much fun.
I didn't take my camera because I didn't want it to get wet.

Then more beach:)

Day Three

I woke up terribly sick with food poisoning.
Luckily Trav had plans to go diving with my dad that day.
I stayed close to the bathroom and sat by the pool.
If I'm going to be sick, at least it was in Hawaii and I could be by the pool.
Such an unattractive picture, but it summed up my day.

When the boys got back, I was feeling a little bit better and we head to dinner.
The local friends from the dive had told the boys about a local Hawaiian restaurant, the Highway Inn.
We went, and as soon as I took a bite I felt sick again.
I begged to go back another day, and no one wanted to.
I sure love that kalua pork.
If you ever need to bribe me, that is the stuff.

Day four

Trav's friend had been telling him about this hike.
We decided to try it out.
It was so beautiful and so muddy.
On our way up, we tried to be so careful and not get too dirty.
On the way back, we gave up.

At the end of the hike was a waterfall and a pond that we got to cliff jump off.
Trav's dream.

On the way back I slipped and fell off of the pathway.
Trav basically had to pull me out of the ditch because my shoes had no traction.
I felt like I was running on a treadmill to get out.
He did so good not to laugh...
Until we caught up with my family... then the laughing started.

Day Five
Dole Plantation

Pizza Bob's

Matsumoto's

Polynesian Culture Center

Some rocky ocean place.

Day Six

We went to the beach for one last long beach day.
I didn't take any pictures.
And we spent a while at Walgreens getting Kait's broken pump stuff figured out.

Day Seven

Trav, being the history nerd that he is, wanted to go to Pearl Harbor.

We went and looked at the sunken ship, The Arizona.
We are so grateful for our country and for the men that fight to keep us free.

After, we met up with my family at the hotel pool and hung out all day until our flight home.

Best trip ever.
Seriously.
Something about having Trav go with me everywhere and to be with my family makes everything magical.
Thank you, so much!
